Exhibition “Artists. Bauska. Iecava. Rundāle. Vecumnieki” at the Bauska Museum, July 31 - September 12, 2021. By the Window (Grandmother’s Portrait) by Juris Tifentals is included in the exhibition.

In this exhibition, Vienna-based artist/photographer/darkroom technician Sophie Thun and archivist Liga Goldberga engage with the archive of Zenta Dzividzinska to produce new work. The exhibition is curated by Zane Onckule. It is on view at the Kim? Contemporary Art Center in Riga, Latvia, from July 15 to September 12, 2021.

The roundtable on the occasion of the exhibition “Communism Through the Lens: Everyday Life Captured by Women Photographers in the Dodge Collection,” curated by Maria Garth at the Zimmerli Art Museum, Rutgers University, took place on April 29, 2021. The book Artists. Bauska. Iecava. Rundāle. Vecumnieki (Bauska: Meistars Gothards, 2020) introduces artists who have lived and worked in these towns and villages of Latvia.

The exhibition at the Kim? Contemporary Art Center will feature new work by artist Sophie Thun, where she will engage with the archive of Zenta Dzividzinska.
